The Three Best Foods for Burning The Fat

In all my years as a professional Nutrition Specialist, I’ve found that people are often shocked to hear some of my picks for the foods that are best for fat burning, weight loss and good health.

You already know about the typical “healthy foods” such as vegetables and fruits, so I won’t bore you with those…everybody knows those. Instead, I’m going to shock you by showing you foods that most people don’t realize are super healthy foods for fat loss.

1. Egg Yolks – yes, that’s right…full fatty egg yolks with all of their fat and cholesterol. You’ve been mislead about the fat & cholesterol in egg yolks — it actually raises the GOOD cholesterol and helps balance fat & cholesterol ratios. And with cage-free eggs from free roaming hens, the omega-3 content is higher and has a more balanced fat profile.

Egg yolks are also one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet in terms of vitamins, minerals, and trace nutrients. Listing all of the vital nutrients in egg yolks would take up an entire page so I won’t even try that here. Just realize you should not avoid yolks in favor of egg whites. Even the protein is more bio-available when you include the yolks!

So don’t be afraid to eat those delicious and healthy eggs and start burning belly fat faster.

2. Avocados – This is yet another “fatty food” that is also one of the best fat burning foods! Not only that, but avocados go great with everything. They are also packed with healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The healthy fat in avocados increases the fat burning hormones in your body and also helps control your appetite.

You can add avocado slices or guacamole to everything from morning eggs, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, and starting burning body fat faster! I would definitely consider avocados one of the best healthy super foods.

3. Grass-fed beef – While most beef you see at the grocery store is grain fed beef from cattle that are in poor health and has lower nutrition values and omega-6 to omega-3 fat ratios that are far out of whack, there is a better option…and that is Grass-Fed Beef!

Grass-fed beef has a better ratio of fatty acids — much higher levels of healthy omega-3 fatty acids and lower levels of unhealthy omega-6 fats. Grass-fed beef also contains higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which is a healthy muscle-building fat, as well as higher levels of many vitamins and minerals.

As long as you choose healthy grass-fed beef instead of grain fed beef you shouldn’t be afraid to live it up a little. You will really enjoy these so-called “fatty” foods and will burn more body fat as well!

Natural Immune System Boosters: Why Should We Bother?

At one time medical science concerned itself for the most part with understanding and defeating viruses and germs. But today the focus has changed.  Today lifestyle choices are impacting on our health, alarmingly changing our lifetime expectation.

Our obsession for acquiring more real estate , hotter autos, more exotic vacations we are giving up quality for quantity and the thing that suffers the most is our own wellbeing. The environment we’ve created is literally depleting our own natural resources and we are not replenishing these drained reserves. Inclusion in our diet of natural immune system boosters is being ignored. As a direct result, our longer term life expectancy is critically reduced.

Increasingly the same conditions are sapping away at our health; obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, respiratory problems and cancer. Their occurrences becoming more common by the day. We seem to have blind faith that medical science will ‘cure all’..

Undoubtedly medicinal development has made great strides in helping us regain our health but unfortunately this success is almost leading toward its downfall.  Today we seem to want to pass over the responsibility of our health to anyone but ourselves. “Let science sort it out”.

We are not taking responsibility for our own actions.  Perhaps it’s this attitude that has led to an astonishing  level of expectation by patients in the antibiotic treatments , and putting doctors  are under unrealistic pressures to deliver instant results.

Although the results are not as instantaneous as conventional medication the use of an herbal antibiotic should be considered. The distinct  advantages of this type of treatment is that they are designed to treat the ailment whilst at the same timeboosting the body’s immune system. Typically we can look at a tiredness remedy that also provides immune system boosters.

As a source of medication herbs are too often overlooked as a critical factor in our food chain to support and strengthen the immune system. Yes, in the main their reputation is anecdotal obtained after years of use by our forefathers. But their use has shown herbs are capable of feeding the immune system as well as fighting many of the ills to which we are prone.

Herbs need not be an added expense; you can grow them yourself on a windowsill or in containers. You can dry them yourself; then you’ve got the added benifit of herbs all year around. Even if you cannot grow them yourself there are a number of quality suppliers which will be able to provide herbs at a costyou find acceptable. There’s the convenience of herbal teas, the reputation of Chinese medicinal herbs or perhaps you want to use fresh herbs in your daily cook pot? Then again perhaps you’d prefer the homeopathic choice.

You are welcome to review some of the more common uses of our popular herbs at Herb and Herbal Matters.

Is There Anything Wine Cannot Do?

Over the years there has been both negative and positive findings for the effects of drinking wine on the body. Most people already know about the downsides of drinking the stuff, so are only to happy when some good news in revealed. For example, when it was proven that drinking the odd glass of red wine thinned the blood and reduced the risk of heart attack, you could practically here the corks popping around the country. Now there maybe another reason to dust of the glassware as scientists have found that wine actually aids digestive function.

A study that took place in Manchester, England recorded results from a study that involved giving some people a glass of wine (either white, red, rosé or champagne) to drink each evening for 2 month. The results concluded that digestive functioning was enhanced in those subjects who consumed a glass of wine for each evening that the study ran. Red wine was triumphant in the results again, although both white and rosé still displayed positive results. Unfortunately, champagne did not seem to help digestion so you can put those champagne glasses away again for the time being. Also, those who drunk any more than one glass of wine actually had decreased function, so you have to limit yourself.

Despite the fact that wine has diuretic qualities, it has been argued that it improves digestive transit by relaxing the muscles that surround the walls of the intestine and stomach. What this means is that anything you consume moves through the body with greater ease and no blockages are caused. You should however note that this research study monitored people for only a short amount of time and we do not know what the effects were long term. The overruling advice seems to be that you can enjoy the odd glass of wine without too much issue and it may even be good for you, but if you start feeling unwell or find youself drinking your wine out of glass vases then you may need to see a doctor
