Pritikin Recipes
I am doing a compare/contrast research paper on popular diets.
Weight Watchers is one of the Diets I am writing about.
If you have tried weight watchers, or any other diet, please tell me about your experience.
I am not using this information to "cheat", all advice taken from yahoo! answers will be sited in my essay–
If I use any work or information you give me, I will be more than happy to send you a copy.
Thanks for all your help!!
My question again was about popular diets and there have been some great answers

Yes!when my children were little, and i was a staying at home Mum….I went on weight watches again, after a couple of unsuccessful times prior.
This time, I found the secret!! Its not the diet, so much.
It’s tuning and programming your mind to discover a new You, getting excited about the new you, and preparing your MIND with a clear vision, enough to propel you UP and OVER, all the little niggly bits and pieces of a diet, and focussing on the here and now. It was applying this secret, and not telling anyone about weight watches and my diet, and just taking it step by step, for me then….it worked!!
But for my lifestyle now…..it would not! Later on…the weight crept back on again. Then I tried the atkins diet. Fabulous!!
never hungry, simple, straight forward, energetic, and the weight comes off so encourageingly fast, safe, you get all excitied about your new figure, and branch out scanning different fashion styles, which pushes you forward.
Next came the Fit for Life Diet…..Fantastic!!! Simple again, eat plenty of fruit, vegs, soups, stir frys….and full of energy, works fast, safe and never hungry.
And now? Back on my own. Buckets of fruit if i want to right up till lunch time, truckloads of vegies[not potatoes!!!] soups,
fresh green leafy salads, onions, and plenty of freshly caught fish…and walk 5 klms a day. Fantastic!!!
keep off the scales, and jump into the fitting rooms, use your time up there, you’ll burn calories, get thrilled about dressing differently and might even pick up[ a small bargin or two,
check out new hairstyles and create a whol;e new you! That works!! Stop counting calories! Start counting dresses and jackets instead! Be different. Rug yourself up and look fat still, while loosing weight…deliberately, then when you drop 2 dress sizes….let them have it!! Step out in style, a confident, chic!! it really works!
I checked into Weight Watchers, have a daughter in law that is losing weekly on the program.
However, they would not take me since I have a sodium problem. Neither in fact will Jenny Craig.
Looking at the pre-prepared foods the sodium count is so high it actually could cause me (and heart patients) major problems.
So no I have not done this for that reason
I have actually been on weight watchers. It is a very good and reasonable diet. I liked it because you could eat whatever you want on it, just in proper portions. This caused me to have very few cravings. Also, you are given a certain amount of extra points a week which I loved to use either daily or all at once. I also like that you get points for exercise.
i have tried ww a couple of time and when i first start i loose alot of weight .But for some reason it stops .With the excisers i have tried everything from the gym to swimming it is essential that you do excersie i found what worked best with me was that i walked for 30min a day to start off with then as i got fitter i added more work out into it .I think the diet part really works and the food is great but i have trouble sticking to something if i dont loose weight every week .I will go back and do it again i have not given up.
