How important is the cayenne pepper ingredient for the master cleanse? Perhaps I am adding too much but it burns my mouth and stomach. Not to mention it doesn’t taste too pleasant.
My question again was about master cleanse and there have been some great answers

OK, just looked up what master cleanse is… just to get an idea of what you’re talking about. But whatever the use is for… I’d say use an amount of cayenne that’s comfortable for YOU. Is this really that important to cause your mouth and stomach that much torture? Find other things for your cleansing thing that will suffice, and substitute that more often. Cayenne is nothing to play around with… I know… b/c I’m originally from Louisiana! And if it’s burning your stomach, that’s not a good sign…. that stuff is probably eating away at the lining of your stomach, and not to mention, when the ‘cleansing process’ is reaching the end of its journey… it’s not going to feel good my friend. Bottom line, do what’s comfortable for you…
My understanding is that it’s a pretty essential part of the process. You should only be putting a pinch in – so just take the amount down and that should help. The burn in your stomach could also be because of the balancing out process – your stomach is still producing a lot of acid but isn’t using it to digest. This will decrease as you continue on the fast.
I just can’t eat cayenne pepper, it is just to hot, some people say it is good, so whatever rocks your boat.
