I am wanting to fast for a certain time period, but I need to know how long. I don’t want to lose weight because I am the right size. I also don’t want to slow down my metabolism because I do work out (weight lift) 5 out of 7 days weekly. I just want to detoxify my lungs, colon, and organs (basically my whole body), but not lose weight or decrease my metabolism. The way to put this is I want to feel my body more alive and well.

It really depends on what kind of fast you are planning on doing. After I quit smoking I wanted to feel clean from the inside so I fasted with water only (ALOT of water). After about 7 days I think it was I had no more caffine withdrawals, I got up without an alarm (and I am NO morning person) and I felt amazing. The first 3 days are the hardest so try to rest and take it easy so all your body has to do is " clean".
