I try to trick my mind/belly to not eat these bad foods, like drinking water, chewing gum, waiting 15 mins, and/or eating a healthier meal. Most of the time, I force myself to eat a healthy meal, but 1/2 hour later I just end up eating what I originally wanted TOO. So that’s twice the portions! I am not overweight, but I am out of shape and my hips and belly are not cool! I could easily be overweight if I didn’t obsess on this to the point where I’m constantly reminding myself NOOOO don’t eat that. I can’t believe how big this has become for me. Does anyone else have this problem? I am a total witch if I don’t get my sugar/carb fix, so a lot of the popular diets leave me homicidal. lol.
My question again was about popular diets and there have been some great answers

The only thing that works for me is to just eat it, but only eat a little. Two days ago, I wanted peanut butter cup brownies. So I made some, ate only a few and then took a dozen brownies to work and gave them away to my coworkers so I didn’t eat them all. Just get it, eat some and give the rest away.
Then eat something with an artificial sweetener.
Oooh, that’s tough. Sometimes extra yeast in your system makes you crave carbs, so eat lots of yoghurt and try taking acidophilus capsules.
Also, vitamin B helps your body to be more healthy and regulated. What I do is gets lots of little bottles of sublingual B12 tablets around. They taste good, like candy, so when I’m craving sugar/carbs, I just pop one of those instead. That in turn makes me want less carbs/sugar.
And in encouragement, once you’ve been on a healthy diet for about a week, you don’t crave bad stuff nearly as much. So hold tight! You can do it!
YES I have the exact problem (though I’m underweight) it’s just like I can’t stop eating, its so bad for me (us) (=
the thing with me is im not allowed to eat sugar nd i dunno what to do either….i mean i’ll eat my little yogart nd cheese sticks but i want a cookie REALLY BADLY lol i just lay down but its not helping so like try low sugar or sugar fre candies nd cookies
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
i never thought i would meet someone anymore like me than YOU!
i have the Exact same problem, right down to yelling at my brain "NOOOOOOOOOO don’t eat that" but i give in. I asked my mom what to do, and she gave me the most best-est advice, and it worked so LISTEN UP, girlfriend!
Whenever you feel like eating something sweet, drink water instead. Hide the food if you have to (thats what i did. so don’t feel ashamed lol jk) just keep drinking that magical stuff! it just makes me feel a little less hungry and holds me off until my next big meal. not only that, it makes my skin GLOW! my skin has become healthier and ppl even SAY to me that "hey your skin glows" Its unbelievable i cannot BELIEVE how much that water has helped me, and to think its been there the WHOLE TIME. lololol.
also if u absolutely have to eat something, the next best thing u can eat is yogurt..
and another thing u can do, although i prefer the first one, is to run off your desires. whenever u feel like eating something that satisfies your sweet tooth, run run run run RUN!
hope this helped and good luck. luv ya!!!

Yep I know what you mean. Ok so stock up on fruit. Just a few oranges but strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and veggies. Small carrots, celery, stuff like that. High protein foods like beans or refried beans for example. Thing is you are craving these other things for certain reasons. lack of vitamins or you may be depressed or tired We go for the carbs and sugar to boost our bodies into thinking they got there energy kick then you crash from the sugar and crave the carbs since they will hold you longer with energy but if you dont burn off the carbs they turn into sugar then into fat. You want to eat things that give you energy like vitamin B. and protein. B is in many veggies and fruit but you need to eat it daily. When you start to do this you may cheat. Its ok, you do need some carbs and remember to tell yourself you are working on getting better at your eating habits so pat yourself on the back when you eat the right things. The negitive needs to relax. Eating is a good thing first of all. Its the amounts and what is in the food thats important. Eating right all day and having a brownie is ok. but dont eat 5 . The only time you need to be negitive is when you are about to eat to much or the carbs and bad sugar. Stop!
You may need to say , "I am not on a diet, I am on a life change"!
It will change your whole body! The way you feel, your energy, your moods, your figure ect. I do not think saying "diet" helps anyone. Its way to hard to stick to the same foods when most of us are on a low income and seasons change the way we eat by what’s selling in the stores. Even the climate makes us eat more fatty foods it seems when we are cold, maybe to give us more fat to insulate our bodies. Our body is smart its just we need to control our minds to do the right thing.
Make a list of good foods you will buy.
It works when you do this time after time. No giant portions. lots of times you need to grab a strawberry, or a few carrots through out the day. And yes its cheaper! You will feel fuller and crave less food. Once your stomach starts to growl thats not a good sign. So if you munch on good stuff, like a peice of celery with peanut butter on it, there both good for the body and the peanut butter will give you energy.
Before bed is the worst time to eat a big meal. We dont burn it off the carbs so they end up as fat and I think it gives us bigger bellies or thighs depending on our body type. Since I have stopped eating a meal before I sleep and started munching on fruits and veggies through out the day I have lost 4 pant sizes! I am working on it and its working for my body and energy. I hope this helps you too. Good luck!
