   there is no such thing as lung detoxification from smoking. the actual effect of smoking is damage in the airways (peripheral airways) which in the long run, because of scarring, leads to irreversible airflow obstruction. this is what we call COPD or chronic obstructive lung disease. smoking can also stimulate cancer formation in the lung and has other multitude bad effects in other organ system. so stop smoking!
