3. did you make any adjustments to the diet?
*note* i dont care if people think dieting doesn’t work or want to add how this specific diet is unhealthy etc. I’m not looking for advice… just results and personal modifications to the diet.

The South Beach diet is based on sound principles. It is also the type of diet that you can live with forever, if needed.
The main difference between the South Beach Diet and other so called "low carb" diets is that the South Beach diet is not really low carb as much as it is good carb.
I personally have not been on the South Beach diet for any length of time but my best friend is and has been on it since Thanksgiving.
She has been doing fantastically well. Now considering that the holiday were during this time frame, she has lost (as of last Monday -she only does a weigh in on Mondays) a total of 34 pounds. Ok, so your thinknig that 34 pounds may not be that great for 3 1/2 months BUT more than pounds, it’s the inches that she has lost. With many diets you lose mostly water weight in the beginning and then often muscles,I can tell that she has lost FAT.
One thing that she does do, and I think is a good idea, is that when she really wants something (like Birthday cake at a party) she has a very small piece instead of avoiding it entirely and feeling deprived. This does affect the diet a bit, but she never complains about being hungry, or gets cranky because she can’t have something.
She also does put flavored coffee mate in her coffee and that would be a definate no-no on the diet, but again without it-she’d hate life. She does make use of alll the South beach diet foods at the grocery store but you should be forewarned, that they do taste very good but if you make you own meals, you can get more food for less carbs and there is less chance of you ever being hungry. For lunch she has been bringing in the new wraps and they do taste very good.
She has also learned alot about spices and how to take a plain meal and turn it into something special. Spices don’t add calories or carbs and some spices like hot peppers can raise your metabolism for a bit helping to burn extra calories.
I think that you will like the South Beach diet. Carole had her whole family on it although they don’t realize it. She just told them that she wanted them to eat better. The kids get large servings of food and some junk food (they don’t need to lose weight) However, who is a bit chunky has been losing weight slowly also, although he doesn’t know he’s dieting (she doesn’t restrict any of his snacking).
It’s a pretty good diet.
Not much is needed if
U eat only when hungry and that too not more than three times a day with only and only water in between. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. In the process u enjoy it more and make ur body motor system tell u that u have had enough.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve the ideal weight effortlessly in a reasonable time.
