My son fusses at me all the time saying I dress like an old lady and thinks I would look better in some of the new styles. I am ready for a change but I just want to know if anyone else in the middle age group and older is having a hard time finding clothes that look good/right on you? I have tried on countless clothes of this newer style and hate the way the clothes are now. They are either made for women that have wonderful figures or are made for younger women and look stupid on someone my age. They are also made out of very cheap material, have large patterned designs, are very low cut, are clingy and are supposed to fit tightly or are made for tall people (I’m very short, 4’11"). I am not in perfect shape and the last thing I will wear is something that clings to all the places I don’t want to show! If I do see styles I like, they are in the large women’s section and are too big for me. If you are having this problem, let me know. Also, if you have found a place with clothes that better suit our size and age but are not horribly expensive, let me know. I wonder if there is anything we can do about this? Have any ideas? I am just so very frustrated and want to see if anyone else is feeling this way and if you have found a place with clothing that is appropriate. Thanks for your answers! I will pick a best answer.
My question again was about fit over 40 and there have been some great answers
