I am interested in anyone giving me some good advice as to whether i should do the Atkins Diet. I have heard real mixed reviews with some people telling me that its very unhealthy and the weight you are losing is only water retention. And then on the other hand im hearing people talk about how much weight they have lost?! For example my mom’s brother who is a Doctor lost 30Lb in 3 months on the diet. So im really confused. Anyone with some good knowledge please help!!

okay so ive been struggleing with a eating disorder lately and today i did some research and watched some shows and stuff and i kinda made a diet for myself…tell me what you think…

breakfreast…1 package oatmeal with hot water
lunch…ritz crackers and chedder cheese
dinner…cheese and crackers or whatever my mom is cooking
dessert…fruit snacks, or sweedish fish or something small and low in calories…
and to drink…vitimin water the 10 calorie ones and water and G2 gatorade…

and then i dont want a "fat" day where i can eat whatever but i am thinking about only letting myself have sweets on monday wedsday and friday idk what do you think?? any ideas oh and instead of any snakcs ill jsut chew gum!!

You can include dairy, but i might have to cut that out of my diet.

My mom is joining the Biggest Loser tomorrow, and I want to surprise her when shes done! I already started walking to work and school, but since im a student, dont have time to cook big meals and what not or go to the gym(since it opens at 8a.m to 8p.m. I go to school from 8a.m till 3p.m go to work 4 p.m till 9.p.m So I almost always eat at work (Grocery Store) So.. Tips of stuff I can buy at a regular grocerie store, that is quick,microwavable and eatable and low calories. Im 16 yrs old – 141 pounds . ( I know im not big, but I still have a bit of a belly and my mom will notice if I lose weight also!)

Hi! I’m a 13year old male and I want to lose 30 pounds (probably less im thinking more like 20- 25 The 30 is from the results of an online test- all it asked for was my height and weight but i am big boned and muscular). I want to ensure that through this im still healthy so i dont have a rediculous 2 week goal. Because I know I should onle be losing 2 pounds a week so depending on how much weight ia ctualy have to lose im going to be aiming for 8-12 weeks.

What I need is some simple tips…

In a month i start hockey season so im already in physical training but i could still use a few excersise tips

As for food this is my problem. My Dad isnt at home much so hes never there to make me meals. If i ask my mom to make me anything she starts cooking 2 hours after i ask and theres no variety. So because theres no planing and I get no help I plan to make my own meals so i need simple healthy recipes and Tips easy enough for a 13 year old

Thx Btw I dont drink many sodas I dont eat out i drink 1% milk, i mostly eat chicken, Little Red meat and I already Eat wholeweat/Wholegrain mostly, i cant find a difference in taste. The problem is I need easy recipes I can amke that tase good and are healthy- I can cook just only if I know what im cooking (and my inmind recipes are very small)

Hi. I need to change my diet. My mom hates cooking. I wouldn’t mind but I don’t know how and she won’t teach me. She doesn’t make healthy, balanced meals and the few times that she prepares vegetables, they taste horrid and I’ve developed a strong dislike to anything that’s green and edible. :-P

I need a few tasty recipes for preparing vegetables. I would also appreciate tips on how to prepare them so they don’t lose flavour and taste like rubber.

I snack on unhealthy foods like crisps and cookies, I’m also looking for alternatives: healthy and tasty snacks.

Any help would be deeply appreciated. :-)

How many calories a day should on the Atkins Diet? Does it matter? Don’t criticize the diet please :-) I am 5’4 and I weight 145 right now. I just had a baby and I do work out I just want to lose weight faster.
A few years ago my mom did the diet and she lost 100 lbs and she has still kept the weight off. Like i said don’t answer if you are going to criticize the diet. I’m asking for facts, not opinions on the diet.

I am starting a weight loss competition in my family, whats the best way to measure progress?

I wanted to start a weight loss competition this summer in my family, but I wanted it to be fair. For example its probably easier for my 260 pound brother to lose a pound than my 160 pound mom.

So whats is the best way to compare? Should it just be percentage of mass? Should fat be considered? Should i buy a body fat analyzer? Because i guess if someone lost 10 pounds of fat and gained 3 pounds of muscle, wouldn’t that be better than someone else who just lost 9 pounds of fat?

Just curious what people’s thoughts on this are, i want it to be as fair as possible but with accurate measures of comparison.

I had this guy complain at bk because of the time difference he threw a fit that because he had to stop and let his mom use the restroom he should be able to cut in line at drive through and that I should backup and let him cut in line, for some reason he got pissed over 1 car ahead of him me and it was funny for me being 24 and seeing this 40 year old grey hair guy stomp his feet and whine over it.
