I am a teenager with a problem and I need help so please help me… I’m  desperate. I have Lupus and when it flares up I have to take prednisone which causes weight gain. I want a higher self esteem. Please, can someone give me some weight loss tips like high calorie burning excersices, health food, some sort of plan and also tips to appear thinner. Thanks!

I am 34 weeks pregnant, and I have gained 39 pounds so far. My doctor is not concerned because my blood pressure is low, blood sugar levels are normal, and all weight is in the belly & boobs. I still have a thin face and definite muscle tone in my arms & legs. I am not pigging out or eating crap (other than the occasional treat).

I know I shouldn’t focus on the weight, but it is hard when I am used to be fit & toned. At this rate, I am going to gain over 40 pounds, and it doesn’t matter what eat or how active I am :(

Have any of you gained over 40 pounds & not had that difficult of a time losing it? Could my weight gain be a lot of water retention? Any suggestions?

How long would it take to get fit if…?

I want to lose weight, gain muscle, and get fit over the summer. How long (estimate) would it take for me to get decently fit and lose maybe, eh… 40 lbs, give or take, if I do this 6 days per week along with eating carefully:

1-1.5 mile run
2+ mile walk
2 mile bike ride

I find it’s a really easy routine that doesn’t take any more than an hour total, though I usually spread out the walking throughout the day rather than do it all at once. I get bored of walking easily.

Any answers/advice/tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
