Pritikin Recipes
The Pritikn’s diet is a high high carbohydrates diet and the Atkins is a high protein diet.
So which one would you lose more weight.
I was always taught to believe that natural sugars and carbohydrates were good for you. Like fruit, apples and oranges.
I am confused.
My question again was about pritikin and there have been some great answers

Atkin diet is a low-carbohydrate, or ketogenic diet, characterized by initial rapid weight loss, usually due to water loss. Drastically reducing the amount of carbohydrate intake causes liver and muscle glycogen loss, which has a strong but temporary diuretic effect. Long-term weight loss occurs because with a low amount of carbohydrate intake, the body burns stored fat for energy.Much of the opposition is because the diet is lacking in some vitamins and nutrients, and because it is high in fat. The Atkins diet is not generally recommended by medical practitioners or dietitians and its introduction provoked strong opposition from the American Medical Association.
