    its not true that they help people make permanent changes to eating habbits!

    the one thing that truly works fpr good healthy and perminant weight loss is to do it over time with a balanced diet (everything in moderation) and exercise.
    you have to change you life style and keep active and eat well (DONT DIET)

    diets are for short term weight loss and are not good for the body as all fad diets starve the body of something it needs!

    I Would say # 2 is not true most of them are lose weight quick and have nothing to do with lifetime changes in how you eat which is they best way to lose weight and stay healthy and keep the weight off.
